God shunned all, but Jews and christians with the correct understanding?
by Star Moore inthe bible says that the jews were god's chosen people.
yes, but does that mean that all other people were nothing to him, unless they were associated with the nation of isreal?
a thought: what if god just chose the nation of isreal for the purpose of bringing the messiah to earth and was still with the good people in all the other religions?

Hey Hallelujah: I don't think that the end is going to be mountains of dead bodies..like the Wt teaches. I think Jesus is the 'prince of peace' and love and will give people every opportunity to change on his 2nd coming..and work with people to help them see the light or the right way. JW's teach, I guess, that Jesus will come floating on a cloud and zapping anyone who isn't a witness...Not!!!!! LIke an instantaneous type of thing...I also think the new order will not have depression.
whatacoincidence :depression in the spiritual paradise thus depression in the new system
you are getting the WT mixed up with the truth...BIG MISTAKE
Hall....: You don't really want to say Satan = Jehovah, do you?
I hate Kingdom Melodies..sure glad there not the truth..kingdom mel..forever would be hell.
Yes, the Catholics are much better that the witnesses right now, anyways.. I'm going to visit one this week. More freedom of choice. Yes!

"Turned aside after Satan."?
by scout575 inthe nt contains several references to christians abandoning christianity.
they are referred to as having "turned aside after satan" ( 1 tim 5:15 ), as being like "the dog that is turned to his own vomit.
" ( 2 peter 2:22 ), as being the "enemies of the cross of christ" ( php 3:18 ), and as being "not of us" ( 1 john 2:19 ).

Scout, I looked up the scriptures you quoted. Here are some of the reasons...behind the scriptures...
"turned aside after Satan" ( 1 Tim 5:15 ), This one was talking about single women who were going from house to house, slandering and being busy bodies.. he was advising them to marry, if that's what they were doing.
as being like "the dog that is turned to his own vomit." ( 2 Peter 2:22 ), This one is talking about people who returned to the corruption of the world..
"enemies of the cross of Christ" ( Php 3:18 ), This one is refering to ones who have their mind on eartly things and their god is their stomach.
and as being "not of us" ( 1 John 2:19 ). This one is talking about ones that had come out from among them who was denying the son and therefore did not have the father, and he labled them the antichrist.
I think it's good understand the context, for is isn't just ones who had left christianity..except the last one....is one who had left christianity.

GB claims divinity for anointed
by hallelujah inin the "insight on the scriptures" book at page 474 and 639 the wtbts states that the anointed are divine in nature.
divine in strong's hebrew lexiconography is defined as sovereign, and in greek lexiconography as theos, or godhead or divinity (see strong's lexicon excerpts below the excerpts from insight book).. divine.
nature.

Hello gang.. Dan, don't you think that the 'other sheep' would be the gentiles..? As he was talking to the Jews? When do you think a person becomes born-again..Do you think it is synonomis with baptism? It seemed with me it came to me briefly after I had been a believer and baptized for about 6 years as a JW...and then it came strongly for me 6 years ago.. so that's when I started partaking. When it 1st came to me, I simply said, it had to be 'demons'. Because I wasn't an old lady and in the bible for long. So I pushed it in the back of my mind. But I couldn't ignore it 6 years ago.. Do you think the '144,000' (symbolic or not) are only jews or spiritual jews? Then who do you think the great crowd is.. I think it's going to be people from every walk of life and every religion..even atheists..with the good and honest .
What do you think???

The Trinity... is it a false teaching as the WTBTS claims?
by Honesty inin the old testament god revealed himself to his chosen people, the israelites as i am:.
ex 3:14-15 - god replied to moses, i am who i am.
this is what you are to say to the israelites: i am .

Hey Honesty, I agree with you 100% ... that's exactly how I feel about our Lord...Jesus
Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Amen!

The interesting thing about the claim of the anointed is that it is an exclusive doctrine. For the anointed to be elect, everyone else must be unelect. So it's not so much about what the GB claims for the anointed as for what they say about the other sheep.
Hi Hallelujah..You must be a christian? Your name. I'm thinking it sounds elite for people to call themselves, anointed.. I'd rather say, I've had a born-again experience..but then i sound like a born-again.. I've been thinking the other sheep, might be the people who Jesus saves at the great tribulation who are not true christians..but people of every religion, nation, even atheist but have a good heart... and want peace and justice and take a stand for the Christ without them even realizing it. What do you think?

XJW4VR : Yikes...I don't know alot about it..the quotes, I put there, were from 'aguest'. So you are saying the "jews" may apply to all of Isreal in the religious sense???
Nark: 1) In the ancient polytheistic context, it is a very natural expression; it just means that Yhwh is Israel's national god (lower case intended): by the same standards it can also be said that "Moab is Chemosh's people" (cf. Judges 11:24).
I have a hard time believe that Yahwah was ever part of a polytheistic god context..
James T.. I believe in being here now..but not completely.. Have you ever read the zen stuff.. Or the book from the 60's called 'Be Here Now'? You might like it
